An antique, 19th Century, Dutch Export 833 grade silver serving spoon.
Fresh from a very prominent Atlanta Estate come this unusual spoon. It features an ornate crest or armorial & twist handle. The back of the bowl is engraved with a scene & a farm couple. There is writing but I can't make it out. Possibly a souvenir spoon?
It measures about 8" (20 cm.) long & weighs 55.1 grams.
It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, gouges or repairs. It is perfect for gift giving. offer now! When will you get another chance?
It has numerous Dutch Hallmarks: the lion passant, with "2" export key mark & silversmith's? initials "LS" in the bowl & a date mark on the handle that I can't make out.
