ANTIQUE GEORGIAN PASTE EARRINGS
DOUBLE DROP SILVER & GOLD
These beautiful Georgian paste earrings are Circa 1800,set in
silver with gold wires and paste stones.
These earrings are double drop with a small Paste stone
above a bigger Paste stone.
The Earrings are silver and gold with gold closed backed galleries
and wires whilst the stones are set in silver.
The top Paste Stones are 0.75ct each and the bottom onesare 4cts each.
The Old Cut Paste stones glisten and sparkle continuously.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the
fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high
indices of refraction and strong dispersion, The Romans in
particular were very skilful in the production
of coloured - glass pastes.
These earrings look fabulous when worn, originally from aGeorgian
collar/necklace they are perfect for every day wearor even
for a wedding, they are a real statement piece.
These earrings weigh 7.1 grams
They measure 27mm in length
The top Paste stone measures 6mm across x 6mm down
The bottom Paste stone measures 10mm across x 10mm down
