ANTIQUE GERMAN KLEY & HAHN Bisque Head Composition Body VINTAGE CHARACTER BABY DOLL
An original, antique, German Character Baby Doll that was made by Kley & Hahn of Germany, in the early 1900's. It is marked on the back of the head with the K & H for Kley & Hahn and the number 167 , see photo. It has open & close, blue, glass eyes and an open mouth with two teeth and a tongue. It has painted eyelashes and brows. The body is the bent limb baby body and is not marked. This adorable doll measures approximately 11" long. The bisque head is in very good condition with no cracks or chips and the original paint still looks very good. There are remnants of a few eyelashes still left on one of the lids, so it must have had real lashes along with the painted ones. The body has a number of cracks (especially on the front). The fingers look fine but the toes have some of the composition missing on the very ends (see photos). Despite the flaws, this is still a beautiful example of a Kley & Hahn Character Baby that could use a little TLC. Being offered at a low starting offer and .
