Discovered during a property refurbishment several weeks ago and kept running for this time to ensure that the clock runs well, which it does. This Gustav Becker chiming clock is housed in an attractive \"Beehive\" walnut case and benefits from the most pleasant and clear Westminster chimes I have ever heard.The clock is in excellent condition, measuring an impressive 12.5\"x 9\"x 7\" and not only looking good but running equally as well, keeping excellent time and chiming incrementally quarterly with an hourly strike as it should. The clock has a key and original pendulum.
The Gustav Becker,Freiburg stamped movement is in very clean condition and the case with bevelled glass and brass bun feet in similar condition. Indeed the only blemish I can find is to the top left of the case, where I guess this has been held for many years for weekly winding ( close up photo shown ). The brass dial with silvered chapter ring is unblemished and there are subsidiary dials giving the option to silence the chimes and adjust the beat.
All in all an attractive bracket or large mantel clock by a renowned maker, offered at a highly competitive price due to being an unexpected discovery. The clock\'s only downside is it\'s weight, which is reflected in the shipping cost but can be delivered safely worldwide by my courier.
