On offer from my collection of Antique and Vintage lace, this amazing heavily worked Flemish Tambour lace curtain panel probably dates from the late 19th Century. I do not have any provenance - I purchased it from an antique dealer in Europe many years ago and it has been stored with my other laces. It measures 256 cms long x 120 cms wide. There is so much work and so many themes I have not attempted to describe them - the pictures tell the story.Whilst it is in quite good condition for its age, there are some significant breaksin the lace, which I have illustrated in the last 3 pictures. They could be stitchedtogether with fine sewing and would then be hardly noticeable as the lace is soheavily embellished.
Colour is soft white.
