This Beautiful doll is a fine example of Heinrich Handwerck withpierced ears and drop pearl earrings. She has a lovely rosy complexion, blue glasssleep eyes, open mouth revealing 4 upper teeth, feathery painted eyebrows andupper and lower painted eyelashes. Shehas her original light brown /blond mohair wig.(Her hair is a bit flat from her bonnet.) The back of her head is incised “119-13 // HANDWERCK// 5 // Germany //”
She comes on her original fabulous chunky wood/ compositionjointed body with original finish and right butt cheek stamped in red all I canread is “Germany // 6”
She comes exquisitely dressed in the most gorgeous antique creamsilk lace dress with layers of lace detail.Underneath she has a nice white chemise and lace edged under pants. She has black knit stockings and pretty whiteleather shoes with a rhinestone design on the front and fastened with a cutelight blue button. On her head she iswearing a delicate white bonnet with a peach ribbon to fasten it. All of her clothing is in good condition.
The bisque socket head is in very good condition and free fromhairlines or restoration. (I have back lit the head and checked forcracks.) There is some glue residue around the rim of her head.
Her body is in good condition with minimal wearjust a few minor paint chips to torso.All of her socket joints are in great condition. Theonly flaw is to the back of the left knee.There is a tiny bit of cracking (see picture for detail) She posesnicely as you can see from the photos.
She really is a stunningly beautiful doll that would enhance anycollection. Please study the photos carefully as they form a large part of thedescription.
