Antique Marquetry Inlay Victorian Ebonized Table~super Rare Folk Art~artist Sig~ For SaleHere we have a very Rare Victorian tilt top parlor table. It is a Folk art piece of two Victorian ladies dancing. They appear to be doing the "Bump" Dance. I don't know what they called it in the 19th century but they look to be having a very fine and happy time. The table has lovely Marquetry Inlay with many Exotic cut woods. The picture is so nice its hard to believe it si all inlaid wood. The artist signature is on the side below the dancers. Can't find the table in any furniture books as of yet, we don't know for sure about the original construction or history. If anyone has any history on this piece please let us know and we will share it with the new owner. The table works great it holds many treasures and tilts with ease. There are several shrink cracks from age on the top due to its 19th century antiquity. We offer it for sale, but don't mind if it hangs around here. Its took me 6 months to finally put it up for sharing. We have many Antique tables but have not seen this one anywhere before. The finish is just fine and ready to display, we have only put our finest Grand Rapids polish on it. The table is 24 1/2" across by 31" tall when it is set up. It stands nicely to display the fine artistry against a wall or right out in the middle of a room. This table will ship by Greyhound Package Express, as it weighs under 100 pounds and fits the dimensions. Email us for a quote to your area. We are selling the table As Is due to its Antiquity. But we offer a full 14 day privilege for returns if it is not your cup of tea. We are pretty sure though when you see it in person, if you like Antiques, you will love this piece. Great for the parlor conversation area. And the top holds teapots and sugar bowls just fine.
