Antique Meriden Brittania Aesthetic Silver Cream & Sugar W/figural Heads/holly For Sale
Antique late 1800's Meriden-Brittania Co. Aesthetically decorated heavily silverplated cream pitcher and sugar bowl. Wonderful decoration includes figural women heads on the tops of the handles and Satyr like faces on all feet. Additionally, the set is engraved in a holly leaf motif along with a figural Holly berry and leaf finial on the creamer and futher leaves and berries around the figural heads. The sugar bowl measures 4 1/2" height(to the rim) x 7" wide(tip of handle to tip of handle) and the creamer is 7 1/2" height(to top of finial) x 6 1/2" wide(tip of handle to tip of spout). The set is in very good condition with no dings or dents, no silverplate loss and only modest wear. The bottom of the inside of the cream pitcher shows some light silver loss or scratches.
