ANTIQUE MING DYNASTY CHINESE CELADON GLAZED FUNERARY URN/VASE W/APPLIED FIGURES:
$9.99

Foryour consideration we have this wonderful antique Chinese Ming Dynasty celadonglazed funerary urn with applied figurines (one is of a person, the other is aphoenix). It is an impressive 18 1/4 inches tall and almost 7 1/2 inches indiameter. The thick celadon glaze is worn in areas, and there are some fleabitenicks here and there as well as some pieces missing from one of the appliedfigures, but it is in incredible condition considering its size. There is a lotof age-crazing in the glaze.

Weare selling a lot of Asian antiques this coming week. Some of them we purchasedat a single-owner sale from Leslie Hindman\'s in Chicago where they sold alot of ex-museum pieces, some of which we\'ll be offering here.

Pleasetake a moment to view the many other Asian, European, and American antiques andpieces of high-end art we\'re offering this week from our personal collection.

-IMPORTANT: PLEASEREAD THE TERMS BELOW-

Welcometo our sale. We have decided that after years of collecting, it\'s time tomove the larger portion of the things we\'ve acquired along to new owners.Keeping and maintaining all of these things is no longer a priority for us, andwe hope you\'ll enjoy the large number of quality antique items that we\'ll beselling over the next while, and that they find good and loving homes.

Wepurchased many of these things on our trips in Europe and Asia, so they arewhat I\'d suppose you\'d call fresh to the American market. Some of the things wedid purchase here in the US from reputable sale houses like James D.Julia\'s, Hindman\'s, Rago\'s, Christie\'s, and others that we frequented. Ofcourse our first instinct was to sell through an sale house, but by the timethey added their commission up to the photo/insurance/etc. fees, and thencharge a very hefty buyers premium, we would be handing them about 50% of theoverall sale proceeds, and that\'s just not something we could stomach. So we\'reusing since the charge between this site and PayPal adds up to only about15% out of the sellers end.

Pleasetake the time to view our other items this week (we expect to be selling about200 items per listing run). There is a fine collection of Asian antiques thatwill be listed on Friday, French art glass like Daum, Galle, Muller Freres, etc.; French pottery like Dalpayrat, Delaherche, Emile Decoeur, will be listedon Saturday along with Italian art glass pieces from Fulvio Bianconi, CarloScarpa, Dino Martens, Martinuzzi, Gio Ponti, and other Venini and Barovierartists. Also listed on Saturday are some rare clocks, paintings, bronzes, andrare Handel and Pairpoint lamps, as well as some exceptional American art glassand pottery by William Morris and Beatrice Wood. And there are some very highend jewelry pieces my partner is selling, including an amazing platinum ringthat houses a fancy yellow diamond of almost 4 CTW and two perfect sidediamonds adding another 2 CT\'s to the final presentation, complete with awholesale appraisal of over $50,000.00. On Sunday we\'ll be listing some dozensof 18th and 19th century nautical and scientific instruments, includingchronometers and early sextants.

*We arerunning this sale for 10 days so that everyone will have more than enoughtime to ensure themselves that the item is what they want. We expect that anyquestions will be asked prior to sale end, because there will be no returnsfor buyer\'s regret. If we have misstated something obvious, we\'ll of coursetake back the item and issue a refund, but as makes the seller pay forshipping and insurance both ways, it becomes prohibitively expensive for aseller, so again, please make sure that you intend to follow through with the sale.
