THIS ANTIQUE MAJOLICA OYSTER PLATE -MINTON- Majolica oyster plate with shell and seaweed pattern English registry mark dating the plate to March 20 1867 THIS PLATE IS IN ALMOST PERFECT CONDITION THERE ARE A FEW BUBBLES IN THE THE COBALT BUE GLAZE DUE TO THE FIRING IN THE KILN NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR RESTORATIONS PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS FOR DETAILS SIZE: 9. Inches Most Antique majolica plates that are 100 to 150 years old, did not survive without some reminders from the past. This shows up in "age line" (hairlines cracks) at the least. As you know these items have a very porous and soft paste that stains easily after long years of use. Almost all Majolica has some evidence of its age and the glaze will have picked up some damage.I describe my items carefully,and show very large and close up photos to unsure that even if I skipped a flaw or condition, the photos show it out myother items!
