ANTIQUE MOA GERMAN DOLL... MAX OSCAR ARNOLD MOLD 200 24\" TALL WONDERFUL BODY WONDERFUL SWEET FACE Max Oscar Arnold Dolls 1877-1930 Company made Dolls 15 - 30\" tall, bisque socket head, composition and wood body, wigged, glass eyes, painted lashes, open mouth with upper teeth. Doll shown is marked: MOA 200 Made in Germany Welsch. The Max Oscar Arnold Doll Company was located in Neustadt, Germany from 1878 - 1930, they are best known for their mechanical dolls; talking, walking and bathing.
In 1919 the Max Arnold doll company purchased the Gebruder Knoch doll Company. Some Max Oscar Arnold doll company markings are; initials of MOA inside an eight pointed star, a mold number, Made in Germany, an eagle, a disc with the eight pointed star with MOA in the center
This doll is in excellent condition--she has a jointed composition body, a bisque socket head, brown glass eyes and an open mouth with teeth showing. She has vintage pantalettes, woven stockings and strap shoes.
Her pink brocade dress is trimmed with beautiful handmade lace. Her matching hat has white faux fur trim, pearls and white roses.
