This is a beautiful antique ring. The ring has markings on the back which look to be French. It is definitely a European made ring. A jewelry specialist told me they think that this ring dates to the late 1800s. The ring is made out of (tested) 18k solid gold. The top part of the ring looks to be capped with platinum. There are 20 small rough cut natural diamonds on either side of the two bright red faux rubies. This ring is in great condition for its age. It is between a ring size 6.25 and 6.5. It weighs a total of 5.99 grams. The face of the ring measures approximately 7/8\" across and just under 1/2\" tall. This is a beautiful old ring with an eye catching unique design.
