Antique Ornate Pedestal Handled Silverplate Food Server Or Butter Dish Dome Lid For Sale
ANTIQUE ORNATE HANDLED DOME SERVING BASKET Lovely antique ornate silverplate dome basket with handle. Pedestal base with raised floral design-same design around the bottom rim of the dome top. Lid has a very pretty engraved pattern-dotted swags with leaf and flower sprays, inner curly Q pattern with a leaf at each opening. Handle has a floral and leaf design at the top, there is an attached metal motif at the base of the handle sloping down onto the rim.Lid has a Fleur De Lis type finial. This lovely piece could be used as a butter dish, vegetable server, or for just about anything. Does not have the butter dish plate-glass dish or metal divider. No makers marks noted.9" to the top of the handle 7 1/2" from side handle to side handle 4 1/8" base diameter 6 1/8" x 1 5/8" inner dimensionsVery nice estate found condition-a few minor spots of plate loss, a few little teeny dings here and there. Could use a tad of polishing. Very little scuffing.
