Rare, antique pair of finely decorated Japanese bronze / copper vases - Komai school, circa 1880
Each with a round base and body with tall shoulders - each finely engraved with a scene of a rooster and a hen in a garden setting with many fruit and wisteria blossoms - other side engraved with houses and pagodas, rolling hills and a large full moon - this is a true pair - the roosters are opposing, different from each other and superbly done with defined feathering and great head features
Work quality is exceptional even better looking under a magnifier
Very good condition for the age - no losses, or repairs - age and handling ware visible but mild - please examine all detailed pictures
