Antique Seth Thomas Mantle Clock Mid 1800's For Sale
This is a Beautiful antique Seth Thomas mantel clock. The veneer on the sides at the bottom is slightly damaged. It has a really small piece gone from the bottom left and a bigger piece missing on the bottom right. Its in decent condition considering the age of this clock. I don't know much about it but I'm selling it in as is condition so please understand what you're buying, and ask any questions you may have before offerding on this item I can send more pictures if you request. As you can see in the pictures the item comes with a small metal rod about 8 inches long a key and the gong . there is a letter from the original owner dated from the1860's. I have been unable to locate a similar clock from this. I'm not sure what the retail value could possibly be but it is one of the oldest clocks I've seen lifted on
Im not sure if it works but I have heard it chime if it is slightly wound, I didn't want to overwind.... also I don't know how to tell if it is 1 day or 8 day...
It was bought several years ago at an estate sale, and never got around to having it serviced
