ANTIQUE Solid Silver TROPHY CUP 1913 GOBLET Hallmarked Birmingham Sterling NR
Birmingham - NOT ENGRAVED - Super Condition - 2 troy oz
This is a really stunning ANTIQUE solid sterling silver trophy cup or gobletthat was made in Birmingham, England in 1904 by the illustrious Victorian silversmiths, T H Hazlewood & Company at their Barr Street workshops. It is in a traditional shape and is raised on a superb high beaded pedestal base. It is NOT engraved. It measures2" in diameter and stands 4 1/8" tall. It is quite substantial - it weighs46.4grams - which isvirtually 1 1/2troy oz.
It is in very good condition for its age with just the usual surface scratching butonly a few dingsbut NOdents, almost NO distortion and, unusually, NO compression to the base and NO splits or repairs -A SUPERB PIECE. This beautiful piece is hallmarked with THH, anchor,lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),oshowing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1913. I have shown the hallmark so that you can make up your own mind. This is a really super quality ANTIQUE piece with a super design in lovely condition after 100 years!!! Postage will be 4.50GBP both within the UK and to international destinations.
