A lot of 5 antique thimbles. Description is of thimbles in cover Pic. from left to right.

2 of them are solid gold I don't know what Karat . Together they weigh 8.75 grams. At least $120.00 in scrapas of 3/16/2013.

Both gold are late 1800's. Theyhave hand carvedchasing and are engraved.

The one with hand carvedvines is size 7 and engraved with the initials M.W.M.The opening is out of round, and the top has wear. This one darned a lot of socks.

The one with the hand carved chasedbuildings isSIMONS BROS.size 9 and engraved Carrie. It is round and in wonderful condition. A 10 out of 10

The silver thimble with mutiple flowers on a vine has aS insidethimble, and marked sterling.

Thesilver thimble with a poinsetta looking flower is markedTAXCO925. The equilivant to sterling silver, and solid. TAXCO is collectible in its self. A region in Mexico, It was known for its community of silver smiths and artisans. I should have polished it, Its worthy and a good one. A10 out of 10

The tall one ismarked mexico Alpaca. Not sure what metal it is. I think its rolled and plated tin.

There was some skepticism as to the authenticity of the GOLD CONTENT in the 2 victorian thimbles. The member naryavilya was sarcastically mocking my listing. They also threatened to turn me into a turrman's list what ever the heck that is. I almost ended the listing. I went back to the local Jewelry and Coin Exchange and had them tested again (doing no damage to the thimbles). In fact they are solid 10kt gold,and offered me $140.00 in scrap based in the rate of exchange as of march 20th,2013. How ever I did not want them destroyed, and thought they had mor intrinsic value. I list things with the utmust integrity, and take pride doing so. Sincerely Bryan Cornwell
