The jar measures about 3.5" in diameter at the base, stands about 6" tall to the top of the handle on the lid and is marked "Sevres Bavaria...Hand Painted" and "Thomas" with the maker's hallmark...see picture(s).
The jar is quite heavy weighing well over 1 pound (before packing) and very fragile (requiring special packing) which is reflected in the shipping cost!
