800 Silver Lavalier Necklace with open back colorful Natural Moonstones set into silver frames.Possible handwritten hallmarks and tested positive for 800-900 silver (I always test several times in different spots). This a very nice hand wrought piece which I believe to be from the Arts & Crafts Era in Europe due to its delicate features. Has a simple hook and ring closure. Moonstone was widely used in jewelry at turn of the 1900's for their beauty as they were attributed to mystery and romance. The shifting and rainbow or range of colors in different lighting, adularescence,is just amazing with tones of milky white, blues, reds, browns, greens etc...I photographed in late afternoon with natural sunlight and shsde, you can see the difference in colors in different settings. Light wear as expected with age, needs a cleaning. Measures approximately 16 1/2"

I am no expert in this area but I took a closer look at stones and did see some chipping on a few, surface wear or scratching? some with deeper surface scratches or chips? Please note that this is all under high magnification and expected wear due to age. I did not notice any cracks on outer surfaces. I will try and post some more close up pictures.
