Antique Victorian Ornately Engraved 14k Gold Jeweled Locket~amethyst~seed Pearls For Sale
Exquisite antique Victorian solid 14K yellow gold locket. Heavily and very ornately hand engraved on both front and back. The workmanship is incredible. Applied cartouche on front is fancy crown prong set with an oval amethyst weighing approximately 2 carats. Surrounding this gem are 4 natural very lustrous seed pearls each mounted in a figural flower mounting. Locket opens as it should and closes securely. Nice and straight and flush with no problems. Locket measures without its oval gold bail, approximately 1 3/8" X 1" wide and weighs a substantial 6.3 grams. A definite museum quality work of art. I have not found a marking on this lovely old locket but it has been jeweler tested to 14K gold and is guaranteed as such. Excellent all original condition.
