Antique Victorian Silver Brooch Pin Queen Victoria 's Scottish Balmoral Castle For Sale
ANTIQUE SILVER BALMORAL BROOCHA beautiful hand engraved Victorian silver brooch, featuring Queen Victoria's private Scottish residence Balmoral Castle, ("Balmoral From River"); inside a beaded castellated border. Measures approx. 45mm x 35mm, and fastens with a barrel hinged pin and open 'c' clasp. Unmarked, although has tested positive for silver. In excellent unpolished condition with a nicely aged patina and minimal signs of wear commensurate with age; the 'c' clasp looks to be an old professional replacement.See photos to confirm description.Balmoral, purchased by Victoria and Albert in 1852, is a private property and unlike the monarch's official residences, is not the property of the Crown. Ownership of Balmoral was inherited by Edward VIII on his accession in 1936. However, when he abdicated later the same year, he retained ownership. A financial settlement was
devised, under which Balmoral passed to his brother, George VI. Balmoral remains the personal property of the monarch.

Check out my other items; I always combine postage! As of 30 April
2012, Royal Mail have increased their postage charges. The cost
of postage to North America, Japan, and
Australia has risen from £8.45 to £8.80, and to European destinations
from £7.85 to £8.30. Although I've had to increase P+P in accordance
with this price increase, I'm still not charging anything for
packaging/handling; which includes brand
new jiffy bag, bubblewrap, etc. Please remember this when leaving
response, it's my charges, (zero!), that you're rating, not the charges
of Royal Mail.
