Antique Victorian Solid Silver Mustard Pot & Spoon, James Deakin, Chester 1898:
A late Victorian solid sterling silver mustard pot of reeded and fluted oblong form, with hinged lid on four ball feet, and original blue glass liner. The silver spoon is associated, dating to 1918, but a very good match.
Hallmarked to side and inside of lid:
Hallmarked to spoon:
A superb mustard pot in excellent antique condition. Light tarnishing, a very minor dent just under the rim, and one to base. One of the ball feet has a visible hole from the underside. This has been done intentionally, to make the mustard sit level and true, and there is no evidence from the side. The glass liner is without damage or restoration. The interior is clean.
