Antique Victorian Winged Lady Solid Gilt Brass Pot Dish Bowl Centerpiece Stand For Sale
This offering is for an antique, Victorian Art NouveauSOLID gilt brass dish,ferner, cachepot or bowl. It would also make a nice centerpiece accent for a smaller table. This wonderful and uniquely designed 2 piece dish is very ornate.It features a footed exterior stand with removable center dish. The stand is quite beautiful. It features 4 figural elements, one on each end and one on each side. The side figures are a dimensional bust of alady with flowing hair, beaded necklace and detailed face andbodice. She is centered in a bloomed flower which gives her a winged appearance. Theend figures are wingedandhaloedwith long narrow bodies. They have nice facialdetails. Their wings are an opened design and spreadoutward and downward. The balance of the exterior is also ornately detailed with extensive small beads and flowers throughout.
The interior features a removable dish. The dish is boat shaped and is gilted with no patterning. It is quite thick and heavy.
This is a very nice, old piece. It is in very good antique condition. There is aging to the gilted patina in some areas. The facial features have some softening but are still detailed. It is very structurally sound with no loose areas. It is lovely.
The measurements are 9.5" long x 3" wide and 3.5" tall. The inner dish measures 5.25" long x 2.25" wide and it is 1" deep.
