Very nice antique 6 1/2\'splitbamboo, 2 piece boat rod. Stamped on reel seat\'s slide band \"Pat. May 15, 1906\". Butt cap, reel seat, winding check and ferrules appear to be nickel silver. All guides are present except tip top. Reel seat is in excellent condition and in working order. Cork is in amazingly excellent condition. ferrules are tight and \"pop\". Wraps are tight, main wraps actually look like copper or brass wire with red and black tipping, not sure. Finish has beaded on the bamboo but I see no chipping. The finish on this rod might be restorable without removing anything, maybe. A nice example of a quality made early bamboo boat rod. Check out my other vintage fishing gear.
