Rare vintage/antique \"Bruyere Garantie\" (Genuine Briar/Guarantee Briar)Tobacco hunting pipe (circa 1870-1900)originating from Germany.Bruyere pipes were usually made using Calabrian briar, a very dense and hardy briar that has a deep red stain.

The Pipe separates into four hand carved pieces, all kept together via astring :

1) Deer antlermouthpiece

2) Birch shank

3) Burled briar handle

4) Burled briar bowl - marked \"Bruyere Garantie\" engraving and a hingedmetal helmet lid/hatch (for when it rains.) There is also a number 71 000

Pipe is in very good condition
