This is an original 1930s to WWII era Imperial Japanese Army 2nd Lieutenant Officer's dress cap. See my other sales for the matching plume and cap case. As you can see in the photos, the overall condition is extremely nice. It's very close to perfect. The outside is very close to mint with bullion cords are all perfect and fabric in pristine condition. Lining is perfect and has the soldier's name, Ida, embroidered into it. The sweatband is in excellent shape with one cracked spot only. Chinstrap and buttons are perfect. The top of the visor has some wear. The bottom is perfect. The sweatband measures approx. 52.5 cm.
