ANTIQUE/VINTAGE PAPER MACHE CHICK & EGG

This is an awesome item, not only is it in good vintage condition someone cared enough to put old style freezer tape on the bottom and date it. The old style freezer tape does not damage the item and comes off easily. The eyes look to maybe be bakelite. There were other items at this estate sale that were marked in the same way.

The pictures tell you what the condition this is, the only possible flaws are beginnings of a peel on the beak and a very slight indent on the edge that could be original, please look at the pictures, the limited coloring is good it is a light yellow orange which enhances the natural color of the tan paper mache.

The writing on the tape says”Pat’s from Okla City, about 1927”.

I bet a mother wrote that when she was going through the keepsake of her children. There is still a tiny bit of green paper grass in the bottom of the egg that probably was original.

The measurements are 6x5 3/4th inches.

These do not come around very often in this condition.
