A turn of thecentury Victorian cameo brass 5 light chandelier in very good!! condition.circa 1900 wiring is vg as well as the home size large sockets.original candles.24 inches high by 20 inches wide.16 inches from main chandelierhook to ceiling.solid brass chain-all parts arein cap.40 watts( maximum wattagebulbs, as shown in pictures).total 200 watts of light.main wire going into top of chandelier was replaced by an electricianwith a heavier newone all the waydowninside the bottom hub where all the wires meet.old large sockets are, as a rule ,ifqualitysockets stayin vg condition- are very-long lasting,like these.orig insulation is still there and not brittle .candles add more insulation-they have wear but the goodtreated cardboard is designedtuff-not falling apart inanyway.they don\'t unwind but are impregnated with some type of adhesive in examining them closely.they were lightlymatch painted because splotches or small areas were plain cardboard, or the color you now see- partcolor which was not acceptable if being used and we don\'t want to replace with old looking new ones-these are the original-it\'s best to stabilize the cardboards outside than not to-keeps moisture out and is necessary.this is the only paint on the antique-all else is original paint! considered rare.the 5 cameos are very nice-2 inch high ovals.original.the whole oval and ornate bottom and top are spelter-4-1/4 inch in hieghtwith the cameo oval picture inlaid.this will make a beautiful addition to someone\'s lighting décor.v.rare.165.00,35.00 shipping,ins.-discounted.wood perimeter installed around widest part.things break because there is no compression protection.you can stand on my boxes.forklifts press loads into packed trucks-snap ,crackle,pop.the doors close.250lb ratedboxes use-peanuts (with bubble) pressed hard downward to create resistance to abuse which isa sign of the times.its not \"my three sons\",or \" leave it to beaver\"anymore.part of all sales go to smiletrain and to other children in Thailand-and elsewhere for over 25 years.continental usa only.
