This Beautiful Antique Cast IronTABLE Lamp with BeautifulShapely lines ofvaselineand jadeite/jadite slag glass isvirtually flawless, rare and absolutely beautiful. Houze Glass Company, located in Marion, PA, was the manufacturer of this glass on this lamp.This lamp is alovely example of early 19th century lighting, 'Made in America.' The shapeand lines of this lamp are verypleasing from thesquare mouldedbase andvaseline& jadeite/jaditebreaks, to thefluted roundtubing. The scrolled bridge is absolutely beautiful as well as the bead trimmed cast iron base and bottom brass mount. This lamp is a very is a very striking focal point in any room. This lamp isheavy, stands perfectly straight, and every part from the shade to the glass to the cast iron are in excellent condition. Theetched glass beaded shadeis in almost perfect conditin and casts a beautiful glow when lit. This lamp is an exceptional piece.
Bridge lamps are very functional for task light, i.e., computer work, reading, sewing, piano, etc. Try this instead of the next +++ level of reading glasses! I have also used them for my indoor plants and they are blooming!

This lamp is very art deco in style and color.All parts of this lamp were taken apart, inspected, and cleaned it inside and out. No signs of ever being neglected, rusted, or dented, Thecast iron base, breaks, bridge and solid brass glass mounts are a gorgeous patina.To clean, just dustwith a swiffer duster or soft cloth--NO CHEMICALS, WINDEX, FURNITURE POLISH--just soft polishing. A paintbrush can be used occasionally for the crevases.Damp cloth for spills. NOTHING ELSE.
Thepull chain fat boyand Shade Holder are in fabulous condition.This socket ischaracteristic of early bridge lamps.The condition of the Brass on this Socket is a testament to the quality of early electrical lighting made in American in the early electric age.This lamp has been rewired with period cloth cord with old acorn style plug. The only part of this lamp that is new is the lampwire and (that is how it should be).The glass lamp shade, not original to this lamp,is in perfect antique condition with no chips, cracks, rough spots at all!!! I specifically chose this shade for this lamp for its shape, color, condition.
