ITEM: You are offerding on a pair of original antique c. 1930s figural spelter metal bookends. This beautiful pair is made in an art deco streamlined modernist machine age decorative design aesthetic. A wonderful example featuring a pair of idealized Gazelles, a lovely example that is an ideal pair for the collector and bookend enthusiast! They might be later period Frankart who made like minded animal adorned modernist wares.
Each bookend measures 7 1/2"tall by 3" deep by 4 1/2" across the base and the pair weigh approximately 3 lbs.

Condition: These fine antique spelter metal bookends are in very good condition, with finish wear and losses - one base is missing the felt but both sit flat and true as configured here. There is a small hole/crack to base of one as shown in photo above. Overall a stunning pair that display beautifully.
