Art Deco Walter Von Nessen Chase Chrome 10 Inches Tall Candelabras Loook For Sale

I have a complete pair of Art Deco "Taurex" candle holders designed by industrial designer Walter Von Nessen for the Chase Metalworks of Waterbury, CT. Von Nessen designed these in 1933 and they were manufactured from that year through 1937 when they were discontinued. The Centaur mark and "Chase" are imprinted on the underside of the removable candle sockets. These are the U-shaped, The candle inserts are removable..There is one small dent on one of the base of one candelabra a They have some lite scratches on the base . Both pieces have some minor scratches from use and age and cleaning.Walter Von Nessen (1889-1943), a leading proponent of the American Streamline Modern design movement, created many of his pieces for Chase from the copper tubing and brass fixtures already in production.
