Art Deco Era Emerson 3 Speed 12'' Oscillating Fan ~ 6 Brass Blades ~ #71666 For Sale
For sale is an antique Art Deco era Emerson oscillating fan!
This has the 6 brass Parker Fan Blades marked The Parker Fan Blade Patented. Type # 71666. Probably from the 1920s or earlier.
There is a small story behind this fan that I must add. When I got this fan it was all original & worked fine. There is a threaded cord that goes from the motor to the base (see pic 5). Well I guess I wasn't careful enough because the threaded cord just detached from the base area when handling. (Note that im not talking about the electrical cord that plugs into the wall but the short cord that goes from the motor to the base). So then the fan didn't come on anymore. Then I had to figure out whether I wanted to just leave it be & offer it AS IS or have the fan repaired. Well I went ahead & had it repaired but the repair job doesn't look the best as you can see with the black electrical tape. If I could go back I would have left it how it was. Anyway the fan is back to working & oscillating in all 3 speeds!
SO THE FAN DOES WORK & OSCILLATE BUT YOU MAY WANT TO HAVE IT RE-WIRED BETTER FOR LOOKS. THOUGH NOT NECESSARY FOR USE.
The cage could use a re-shaping (pic 8)but blades turn fine. The fan blows out ice cold air! The fan is super heavy & quality! Condition is above average! Black paint contains a scratch here or there. Contains an over 9ft. cord.
Volts: Type: 71666
Cycles : No: NO1359
No wining motor. Truly the fan to buy if you're looking for one!
Good I Also Have a 4 Brass Blade Emerson Oscillating Fan Listed that is turn of the CENTURY! DO Take A Look!

* FYI * AN EXPERT HAS INFORMED ME THAT THESE ARE INDEED BRASS BLADES. FOR A FEW YEARS or A FEW MODELS EMERSON PAINTED THE BRASS BLADES A GOLD COLOR. DO NOT ASK ME WHY BUT THEY DID. I EVEN TESTED THE BLADES WITH A MAGNET WITH NO RESULT.
