Thisis a lovely original artnouveau plique a from thebeginning of the 20th century.The metal is 800 quality European silver which appears to have been originally gilded but this has mostly gone. The enamel work isdelicate yetvibrant when held up to the light, in excellent condition but with the obvious condition issue that one cell is now vacant.There are no other marks on thebrooch apart from 800 Z , but the style is very much like the work of the art nouveau German jewellers Levinger & Bissinger.

Thebrooch measures3.5cmslong or1 & 3/8inches. Weight 3 grams.

Condition excellent and original with fading to the gilding appropriate to the age of the piece, left uncleaned to retain patina.
