This is one of six collections of Doyle short stories that Murray published in 1922. The set pulled together all the short stories appearing in other books, added in some previously unpublished yarns, and grouped them into common themes, this one being TALES OF TWILIGHT AND THE UNSEEN.

The fragile book is in Very Good condition, the DJ having performed noble duty the last century. Just a couple of faded spots on the spine where the missing dust jacket material once resided. Endpapers clean and white. Rear hinge starting. No writing or signatures.

The original dust jacket of 1922 is well represented, covering all of the front panel. The spine has a large loss which continues to the rear panel, where there is another larger chip at the top edge. The missing areas have been filled with photo copies from another original dust jacket to provide a complete impression.
