This sale features a superb reproduction set of the early South Vietnamese camouflage uniform.Commonly worn by many ARVN Airborne, LLDBsand their US advisors in the early to mid 60's. The set is completely based on the original counterpart. The South Vietnamese Quarter Masters actually produced/sewn these 4-pocket sets(circa 1964) with imported fabric believed to befrom Japanese contracts. This SVN-made set was directly copied and basedon the US 1st pattern jungle suit (exposed button and epaulettes). Now, for the first time (very), this type of uniform cut and camouflage patternis being offered (so far). The set ismeticulously reproduced down to theextreme details. So good of the camouflage reproduction, I have to show (off) the comparison/resemblance between my product and the original side by side. Complete uniformensemble with shirt and pants are being offered as set. Small details like buttons,khaki threads, silk woven taylor tagswere also "reproduced" as well but with a contemporary touch. Field bandage pocket ( built inside the left cargo pocket) and thigh strings are not forgotten. Chest-level zippered internal pockets are also incorporated to bring the set to its utmost realism - this feature was not orginally part of the issued uniform but was later added/alternated mostly by US advisors.Jungle flaps are even worth mentioning. These flaps were actually designed to keep the jungle insects from entering the opening gaps between the buttons. However, pants zipper was used instead of button fly, just for the sake of convience rather than authenticity. Also South Vietnamese QM stamps (T.T.S.X.Q.T) were intentionally left out for the time being. Most accurate copied pattern of this ultra rare and complex SVN "bloodcake" scheme ever being offered on the market.So complex because it actually consists of SEVEN (7) different colours! The South Vietnamese actually created andgave/called this particular pattern's name as "HUYET" (pronounced as HUE-WHEAT)in Vietnamese which is litterally translated to English as "Blood Cake" or "Blood curd" due to its main and dominant colour - BROWN. Despite its various popular made-up names - which appeared only in English language text books -as purples, pinks (the worst name of all) or bullet proofs, they are all wrong and meaningless as none ofthem have any meaningful implies to the pattern. The most accurate designated name is either:

A. "Blood cake or curd" or HUYET camo as commonly, correctly and oftenly called by the South Vietnamese after all it was designed and made forthem.

B. Vietnamesewindproof camo as it was "based/borrowed" from the WWII British camouflage windproof sets. Not copied.

C.Early SVN Airborne camo as it was almost EXCLUSIVELY issued to and worn by their paratroopers which included the LLDBs as well.

The best and most accurate reproduction of this camo pattern up to date andno doubts the only kind being made and offered. All can be summed up to "The next best thing to the ORIGINAL",if and onlyif one can geta setthat "fits". Pictures don't do justice, it must be seen and touched to really appreciate the "QUALITY and ACCURACY".
