Austrian Model 1869 Cavalry Officer Sword W/ Scabbard & Hanger Rig-very Nice For Sale
Fine condition and
guaranteed all original Austrian Model 1869 cavalry officer sword that is
clearly manufacturer marked to WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM on the blade along with
the knight and king heads trademark. 30” blade has beautiful original bright
metal finish with a little gray freckling near the tip. Guard also has original
bright metal finish with a little scattered brown and beautiful engraved
designs. Sharkskin grip shows a little normal wear, has good tight wire wrap. Fitted
in correct original all steel scabbard that has original bright metal finish
with a little scattered brown, no dents. Sword is also complete with original
leather hanger/cross strap rig that rates very good condition as well. Leather
is soft and supple and all metal hardware is intact. Leather has a few small
tears. A very rare early Austrian cavalry officer sword in nice condition that
will make an excellent addition to your collection and a beautiful display.
