My friend purchased two of these chairs a few years ago at DWR, Design with in Reach, in Los Angeles California. The chairs were viewed in the living room of a house that was shared with friends in Palm Springs. For the last couple of years the chairs have been well stored in a climate controlled smoke free pet free storage. Since only one of the chairs is currently being used in a bedroom, it was thought this one should go to someone who could enjoy it.
Originally designed in the 1950\'s & manufactured by E. Kold Christensen of Denmark, the PK22 chair was Poul Kjaerholm\'s homage or tribute to the 1929 Barcelona Chair designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This specific chair was manufactured in 2007 in Denmark by the Republic of Fritz Hansen who has held the design rights since the 1980\'s.
Condition; Near new, near perfect, awesome and beautiful. There are three small snaps in the cane which is common, one on each side of the back rest and one on the lower right side (see photos). There are a couple unique imperfections in the steel (see photos). Some slight variations in the cane wicker (see photos). Chair has all proper markings as one would expect (see photos). Overall size25\"L x 27\"H x 24\"W.
I would consider delivering it to Los Angeles or San Diego myself, which could be scheduled with in a week of listing end. Depending on where it will be shipped, I may unbolt and remove the legs prior. You may need an Allen wrench (hex key) to re-attach the legs which can be purchased at any hardware store for about $15.00.
Also;I have checked, shipping from California to New York can be as much as $480.00 when your just a one time shipper like I am, so please consider that as a huge discount to the listed price of $2500.00.
