This item listing is for an "Anticipation" Advent Wreath from Abbey Press that is divided into four sections (Roots from the Past - Faith, The Coming of the Savior - Peace, The New Way - Love, The Time to Come - Hope), each with four carved panels bearing symbols for this special time of anticipation for the coming of the Savior. It is crafted of polyresin with a carved woodandmetalcandle cups that holds 10" x 3/4" diameter candles in colors to coordinate with the tradition of advent. Three candles are purple to represent penance and longing, they are lit on the first, second and fourth weeks. One candle is rose-colored to symbolize joy, this is lit during the third week in anticipation of the birth of Jesus. One set of four advent candles and an Anticipation Advent pamphlet is included. The pamphlet explains the wreath's symbols and how to use the wreath throughout the season.
