Abraham Lincoln Original Stone Lithograph From A Portrait By Charles Barry 1860 For Sale
Abraham Lincoln, Original Stone Lithograph, from a portrait taken from life by Charles A. Barry, Springfield, Illinois, June 1860
The image of Abraham Lincoln, without a beard, is very sharp and undamaged. The visible size of this lithograph is 32
inches high by 24 inches wide. It appears to be untrimmed. The external dimension of frame with glass is 34 inches
high by 26 inches wide. There is dark moisture staining in the upper right blank border area as well as the lower middle text area. There is some light
water spotting in the lower right text portion of the lithograph. See the photos for a better idea of the condition
related to this staining. The dark flecks in the photos are debris on the surface of the glass.
At the bottom of the image is a signature "Yours truly A.Lincoln"; but I'm quite sure this is part of the lithograph as the image on the Library of Congress web site carries the same signature and location of signature.
I'm setting the start price of this sale where it is because that is the wish of the current owner of this impressive work of art.
