Adler Luftkampfspiel - Original Ww2 Board Game Almost Mint For Sale
From my own collection. A practically mint, unplayed withexample of a German WW2 board game 'Adler Luftkampfspiel' made by 'Grafe'. I believe these board games (there are different varieties) were commissioned by 'Der Adler' the Luftwaffe magazine.
Apart from one slightly torn box corner and some rust staining at the corners from the 70 year old staples, this game is complete and in unused condition.
The board of this game is as rigid andtaught as it was when it left the factory and all the tokens and aircraft appear to beintact (12 blue and 12 red wooden tokens and 6 red and 6 blue fighters and 6 red and 6 blue bombers) The planes are made out of a plastic type material and are numbered. There are also 5 glass dice and an original unopened envelope which by the feel of it contains some additional tokens although I have never wanted to open it to find out.
The back of the carton has what appears to be the original purchase price in pencil 'RM 4.90'.
I bought this game from a dealer at a militaria fair some years ago and the seller said he had bought this game as 'old stock' from a toy shop in the former East Berlin.
