Aef Wound Stripe Gold Bullion Chevron On Od Serge Wool Uniform Material For Sale
This listing represents a first for me. Here you have a World War I, AEF Gold Bullion Wound Chevron for the Tunic Sleeve. The insignia features a cross stitched custom bullion stripe mounted on part of a WWI Dougboy's Uniform Sleeve. The chevron is in fair condition.
The insignia is for wear on the field uniform, and is sewn to a swath of an OD Green Uniform Sleeve. The gold bullion wound stripe is sewn to OD Serge Wool that is sewn to OD Green Serge Wool Tunic Sleeve Material. The chevron is heavily tarnished and dull. There is neat, period cross stitching present. A couple of the stitches are loose. The chevron measures 2.75 by .75 inches
The swath of uniform sleeve material was cut from a badly moth damaged tunic. The material can be trimmed to fit your presentation mount. There is a moth spot to the uniform material. The material is clean and suitable for framing.
The AEF Bullion Embroidered Wound Stripe on the original Tunic Sleeve OD Wool Material is just what you need to complete your WWI AEF Uniform or Insignia Presentation. It would look terrific on a uniform or mounted in a display.

I have enjoyed interacting with buyers from four continents and dozens of countries. Many have been veterans, active duty GIs, home front family members in our war, authors, artists, teachers, museum curators, etc. You are encouraged to email with questions. All winning buyers are required to provide contact information within three business days of the listing’s conclusion. This means I need your full name and shipping address to validate you as the winning buyer. It is also a basic courtesy that is appreciated. Finally, recognize that most of these items are 64+ years old and typically will show some manifestation of age, time, removal of insignia (on uniform items), nips, etc that I may not catch. I am not infallible but work hard at offering comprehensive descriptions supported by photographs. I also can not guarantee that caps and uniform components will fit you so offer on them first as an artifact. I believe communication is the key to successful transactions. Thank You.
