Aladdin B-93 Vertique 1938 White Moonstone Art Glass - Rarest of the Aladin Vertique Models - One Year Only

Up for sale and your consideration is this all original 1938 Aladdin Vertique model lamp in the rarest color available of white moonstone. I purchased this lamp a few years back from a well-known Aladdin Knight from Rockford IL. This lamp is in great condition and all original. The white moonstone color is consistent throughout with some slight swirls in the glass when light is shown through it, beautiful color. All old glass has air bubbles and this lamp is no exception. There is an air bubble on the bottom edge of the foot that may look like a large chip in the photos. (Photo 3, 4) This is not damage to the foot. This is just an air bubble. The glass looks smooth visually with a magnifying glass and feels smooth to the touch. There is another tiny bubble on the side of the foot base. This one can be felt to the touch (Photo 5). There is a very tiny nick or defect on the bottom edge of the foot base (Photo 6). This is very hard to see but can be felt to the touch. On the top of the font about two inches from the filler hole is a small defect in the glass (Photo 11). This looks more like a defect not a chip but I am listing it to be safe. There are some straw marks on the upper part of the foot by the connector (Photo 8). Very typical for Aladdin lamps and the process used to manufacture these wonderful works of art. There is about 35-40% of the original silver finish on the connector form the foot to the font. There is very little to no original silver finish on the burner collar. All the brass is in great condition and could be polished if one decides to do away with the originality of the lamp. That is up to the collector. I do my best give all details of my items and show detailed photos no matter how small it may be to give you the best information regarding your consideration for this sale. On a scale from 1-10 with 1 being the bad condition and 10 being excellent condition I would rate this lamp an 8 due to the inerfections listed.

The Aladdin Knight I bought this lamp from told me that not all Vertique lamps have the ring design on the foot. Some of the very early Veritque lamps (Late 1937- Early 1938) made in Rose Moonstone, Jade Green Moonstone and White Moonstone may be found with the 1937 Quilt foot. He had been and Aladdin Knight for many many years so there is no reason for me not to believe him. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.
