Disturbing & never-before-seen artifactfrom Standley's original collection. Theartifact has been stained by what appears to be an organic dye: blackberry? ~In 1909 The Smithsonian and several other North American museumstraveled to Seattle by sailing ship & train. They purchased much of Standley's collection.
