Up for the sale is a beautiful antique Meiji period Japanese brocade silk Buddhist monk robe, kesa.
Avery fine quality dark blue brocade silk woven with 3-clawed Dragons chasing flaming pearls in the sky. Woven in the shades of blue, green, golden, silver, and yellow.
The kesameasures 83\"(211cm)x 47\" (119.5 cm).
Condition: Goodantiquecondition,considering the old age of the piece, with some minor rubbing to the silk material here and there and insignificant separations from the lining,couple of stains on the lining. Otherwise very good.ncolors are fresh and bright.
