This wonderful vintage cookie jar is by American Bisque. It is a kitten on top of a bright yellow bee hive, with pink and blue flowers and butterflies. It is a very solid, heavy cookie jar weighing just over 5 lbs. The back bottom is embossed with “USA”; the jar stands approximately 11” tall and is 7.5 “ in width at the bottom of the base. There is a small knick in the bottom front edge,which appears to have occurred during the manufacturing as it is glazed over(see pictures). There is some minor crazing, some discoloration on the inside bottom and one very superficial appearing crack on the top (see pictures) that is difficult to feel. This cookie jar is really in very good condition, the gloss is shiny and striking. This will make a great addition to your retro kitchen,collection, or hold some of your favorite cookies.
