A very attractive book. Condition is good with covers slightly rubbed and back cover has a few small raised places that look like it may have been damp at some point and a small scratch. Corners are worn and spine is slightly worn at the top and bottom. Book has a gilt top and rough cut side and bottom. Ex-library markings and possible pencil marks inside. (I found one and erased it but there might be more)Some foxing on the velum cover over the picture of George Washington and on the inside of the back cover Inside of the book appears to be clean, tight and bright.A wonderful book for anyone interested in the history of this country and the thoughts of one of its most loved presidents.
