Plot Synopsis:

American Pop is the animated story of a very talented and troubled family, starting at the turn of the century in Russia, moving through eight decades of music in the United States, and four generations of young men and their music. Though all the characters are fictitious, most are composites of famous musicians, and the songs they create are all popular songs already written. The film explores the evolution of American music and history in the Twentieth Century through the story of this musical family.

Our Cels:

An animation cel is a piece of acetate, usually 10 1/2 x 12 1/2". Our original production celswere hand inked or printed, copying the line of the original animation drawings. Thenthey werehand painted with colors selected especially foreach scene in the film. The cels werecombined with the appropriate hand painted background,and thenphotographed.That photograph becameone frame of the film. Each cel was numbered by scene, and numbered by its place in the scene. It also has the letter of the sequence from which it comes. A sequence is made up of several scenes. Each animation cel has its own individual letter and numbers. There are no duplicates. Each cel is sold with afine quality printof the original background from the scene, the sequence, or the film.
