We are pleased to offer this monumental Egyptian Revival silver tea tray.
Came to us with a collection of Tiffany sterling.
In classic oval form. >{? Boldly cast maiden head with shell crown handles. United by elegant raised petal gadrooning.
The recessed centre with scrolling anthemion, filled with shell and swirling vine displays. Framing oval medallion, with interwoven engraved initials RAC (?).
Atop well cast diamond centre slender feet.
This exceptional Egyptian Revival tea tray is 35 1/2 inches handle to handle and 20 3/4 across.
Hallmarked series of numbers on back "050 60".
In very fine condition. Rich silver patina throughout. The maiden head handles and Egyptian inspired hand engraved work retain most all of their original detail. No bleed thru of base metal, centre surface scuffs and fine lines, none can be felt.
