Desert Ironwood Knife Scales
Desert Ironwood from the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest. It is the only species in the monotypic genus Olneya. Very hard, heavy, dense, and stable.Beautiful grain pattern and smooth sheen. Extremely useful for tool handles, pepper mills, bowl blanks, pool cues, fine furniture, gun/knife handles, musical instruments and a variety of other turnings.
