Here we have a beautiful ring. The amethyst is a wonderful stone. And amethyst is all the rage today. Look at the photos from the recent issue of Veranda I have included with the prices!
The natural mined amethyst is emerald cut and has incredible color and fire. It is 15 mm by 7 mm. It has the most gorgeous purple lavender color with incredible translucence to the gem. The jewel is set in a 14K gold setting. The ring dates to the Victorian - Art Deco period, c1870-1930. The combination of the stunning amethyst and and wonderful setting is absolutely romantic and divine!!!!
The ring is in excellent condition. The amethyst is in excellent condition. The gold is in excellent condition. The top of the ring sits 8 mm above the finger. It is currently a size 5 US (K UK) with the spacer that is present, without the spacer it is probably a 6. It can be easily resized if desired. The ring is hallmarked 14K. The ring weighs 4.1 grams.
